Launch of the "School Kit"

The West Coast Co-operative Credit Union has launched a bold new initiative dubbed "School Kit" which is geared at assisting its members meet the cost of purchasing school supplies for the new school year.

Credit Union Officials brought forth the initiative in response to the rising cost of living which has affected many Dominican families and is most likely to impact their ability to meet the demands for school supplies this summer.

Sales, Marketing and Communication Officer at the Head Office of the West Coast Co-operative Credit Union, Mrs. Virginia Felix-Serrant says " We are excited at the launch of this initiative which is expected to provide our members with the confidence of knowing that they can readily access the resources that they will need, at the time that they will need it, to ensure that their children are adequately prepared for the upcoming school year."

All parents and guardians of children who are enrolled at any level of formal education will be able to access the funds which will be offered at easy terms with very basic requirements for accessing the loan.

It is expected that the West Coast Co-operative Credit Union's "School Kit" initiative will bring relief to more than five hundred families to provide school supplies for their children in September.
