Website Help Page
The WCCCU website consists of dynamic database driven applications/features and a private area. This Site Help is intended to help you better understand how to find what you need and to have a better online experience with our website.
Properly Named Links Links
on the WCCCU website provide meaning for pages you want to access, for example a link will usually say for example "More" versus "More Click Here" where click here is used for the hyperlink.
Navigation
The WCCCU uses a series of useful navigational structures on every page.
- The TOP DHTML menu helps you get to the main informational pages of the website, but is linked 2 levels deep.
- Under the DHTML menu are links to the Database driven areas of the website.
- The right side menu: This menu links 3 sub-levels down into the website and also acts as easy marker as to where you are actively.
- We have included breadcrumbs so that you will never wonder where you came from or be lost in the website hierarchy.
We don’t think you will ever have a concern as to how to find a page or get lost on our website.
Exiting from our site
The WCCCU will allow the user to determine if a link will leave our site by following a basic usability principle that all software programs follow. In a Program if a menu option or a button are going to open a new window then there will be an Ellipse, e.g. "Check for Updates ..." in this example the page will open a new window in the application. Additionally where Possible we will add a "Title" that says "Opens a New Window"
