How to Join
You can become a member of the West Co-operative Credit Union Ltd (WCCCU). If you qualify, simply visit our Member Services Department and our caring and supportive staff will assist you in becoming a member.-
Junior Savers
Have a parent or guardian can open a Junior Savers Account for you and hand it over at 15 when you come of age for WCCCU membership. -
Organizations
Groups and Organizations can join the WCCCU by sending a Letter from the Executive authorizing opening of the account and naming three members to sign on the group’s behalf. -
From Overseas
To join the WCCCU from overseas, simply apply in writing, by mail, email or fax, and we will promptly send you a Membership Card.

The purpose of the WCCCU shall be total development of its membership and maximize member's benefits through cost effective financial services. -
History of the WCCCU
On September 25th, 2005 history was made when the West Coast Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. was born, by the joining of the Salisbury Credit Union (SCCU) and Colihaut Credit Union (CCCU).-
The CCCU
The Colihaut Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. began as a savings union, pioneered by deceased teacher Osborne Georges. -
The SCCU
The Salisbury Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. began in 1958. The idea was transferred to the public through Sunday classes conducted by Mr. James Royer and Mr. Cuthbert Sweeny.

Transfer of Funds
Members of the WCCCU residing overseas can transfer funds to their savings and loan accounts without a middle man. -
BOD & Committees
The WCCCU Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee and Credit Committee: all of whom are elected at an annual AGM-
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is elected by the credit union membership during the annual general meeting (AGM) and reports directly to the membership. The board members serve on a voluntary basis. -
Supervisory Committee
The Supervisory Committee is elected by the credit union membership during the annual general meeting (AGM). The members serve on a voluntary basis and report to the membership. -
Credit Committee
The Credit Committee is elected by the credit union membership during the annual general meeting (AGM and members serve on a voluntary basis.

Member Share Capital
Representing the shares/equity that members will own in the WCCCU. Members will invest in their credit union and leave money there so that they can continue to be part owners of WCCCU. -
Junior Savers Deposit
WCCCU welcomes young persons to its family of depositors through its Junior Savers Deposit Account. -
Christmas Club Deposit
With the Christmas Club Deposit members are encouraged to save for the upcoming Christmas season. -
Fixed Deposits

Loan Application
Loan Application Core Requirementsincludes: Job letter, Passbook, Photos, Recent Pay slip and etc. -
Cash Secured
This type of loan is given to a member whose requirements are within his savings amount. Loans up to 90% of the savings will be approved. -

Members Overseas
Members of the WCCCU residing overseas can now apply for loans too. This is in keeping with the goal of the society to serve its members and even exceed their expectations. -

This loan is given to members based on their character (i.e. credibility of the member with the society). -

Real Estate
The Credit Union shall have a lien on the motor vehicle until the loan is fully repaid. The motor vehicle must be comprehensively insured throughout the life of the loan and said insurance should be assigned to the WCCCU. -

The WCCCU is always prepared to enable its members by offering debt consolidation. -
Furniture & Appliance
Our Quick Purchase Loan was especially designed for members with existing loans who desire a loan to purchase appliances and/or furniture. -
Motor Vehicle
The Credit Union shall have a lien on the motor vehicle until the loan is fully repaid. The motor vehicle must be comprehensively insured throughout the life of the loan and said insurance should be assigned to the WCCCU. -
